  1. I have a problem, I created an olap view in Jasper Analysis workbench. When I run an MDX query in the workbench I get results but in Jasperreports server I get this error: The following is not a valid MDX query: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver [/code]This is the query: select {[Measures].[cf_amount]} on columns, NON EMPTY {[Product].[NHR],[Product].[HSI], [Product].[PFC]} on rows from Calc_Revenue where ([Time].[2003]) [/code]This is the cube: <Schema name="Revenue"> <Cube name="Calc_Revenue" cache="true" enabled="true"> <Table name="CTOP"> </Table> <Dimension type="TimeDimension" foreignKey="cf_id" name="Time"> <Hierarchy name="AllYears" hasAll="false" primaryKey="cf_id"> <Table name="TIME"> </Table> <Level name="Year" column="year" type="Numeric" uniqueMembers="true" levelType="TimeYears" hideMemberIf="Never"> </Level> <Level name="Month" column="month" type="Numeric" uniqueMembers="false" levelType="TimeMonths" hideMemberIf="Never"> </Level> </Hierarchy> </Dimension> <Dimension type="StandardDimension" foreignKey="product_id" name="Product"> <Hierarchy name="AllProducts" hasAll="true" primaryKey="id" primaryKeyTable="products"> <Join leftKey="id" rightKey="product_id"> <Table name="products"> </Table> <Table name="CTOP"> </Table> </Join> <Level name="code" table="products" column="code" nameColumn="code" type="String" uniqueMembers="true" levelType="Regular" hideMemberIf="Never"> </Level> </Hierarchy> </Dimension> <Measure name="cf_amount" column="cf_amount" aggregator="sum" visible="true"> </Measure> </Cube> </Schema> Any form of help will be appreciated Post Edited by rumbi at 02/22/2012 06:48 Post Edited by rumbi at 02/22/2012 07:30 Post Edited by rumbi at 02/22/2012 07:31
  2. I just designed an OLAP cube for a table with approximately 999 999 rows. In testing I found that if I select all the dimensions and measures using an MDX query, they would fail to load but the olap viewwould display correctly for just a few dimensions and all measures. In an attempt to select all dimensions and measures I created an aggregate table. Testing the MDX query in the schema workbench produced no errors. However, testing in Jasperreports Server produced this error, in the last step of creating the OLAP view: The following is not a valid MDX query: Mondrian Error:Too many errors, '8', whie loading/reloading aggregates. [/code]I have googled the error to no avail. Any form of help will be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi Everyone I need to change the OLAP settings. In the Jasperreports OLAP user guide for the community edition I was directed to the mondrian.properties file which is supposed to be in /opt/jasperreportsserver/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver/WEB-INF When I go to this directory, the mondrian.properties file is not there. How then do I change the OLAP settings? Post Edited by rumbi at 02/15/2012 12:05
  4. Hi all Could I please know. If I schedule 5 jobs, the first job settings appears in the contents of the generated file, the 1st and 2nd job settings appear in the second generated file, the 1st 2nd and 3rd job settings appear in the 3rd file, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th job settings appear in the 4th file. Again the 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th job settings appear in the file. The question is: Do I copy the contents of the last file only to the crontab configuration of my unix system since all the previous files contain basically the same information? 5. I have to extract 28 tables from MS SQL Server 2000 using jaspersoft etl, transfrom them and load them onto a Mysql database. The question is: Does this mean creating 28 jobs? This I know how to do. Or can I extract them in one job? If so how? Post Edited by rumbi at 02/07/2012 17:32 Post Edited by rumbi at 02/07/2012 17:35 Post Edited by rumbi at 02/07/2012 17:35

  7. Hi all I downloaded jasperreports server 4.5.0-0 (community version) During installation there was no option to choose mysql as the bundled database server to use or the existing database server to use. The only options available were to use the bundled postgresql database server or my own version of existing version of postgresql server. My problem is that all my databases are in MS Server or Mysql. Will the postgresql server be sufficient or do I have to convert all databases to postgre ? Or does the community edition of jasperreports server have ETL as an embedded functionality since jaspersoft etl is available as a separate download? 8. Hi I downloaded the bitnami JasperServer 4.5.0-0 stack virtual machine (ubuntu). According to the Jasper Reports Server User Guide and admin guide, I am supposed to be having the home, view, and create menus. In my installation there is no create menu. Is this an error or is the virtual machine not supposed to be able to create reports by default? Moreover, the virtual machine does not have a getting started page. Am I supposed to add these functionalities? If so how do I do that? Or if I can create reports using the home, view and mange menus only, could you please refer me to any tutorial or free guide that shows me how. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. 10. Hi Could I please know which is the community version equivalent to the Jaspersoft Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition? Rumbi
  11. Thanks If that is the case, which one is the community version for the Jaspersoft Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition. Is JasperServer 4.5.0-0 from the community edition? If not, which one is the equivalent that comprises all the projects and is free to the community? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Rumbi
