  1. Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm also working on the same thing.
  2. I see that, now, but changing it doesn't seem to have made any difference in the output.
  3. I believe you could set the Split Type for the Summary band to "Immediate" and it would break off the summary wherever it has to for pagination.
  4. Is there a way to set the default properties for new objects, so I don't have to manually set them every time? I've been able to find the default font size, but that's it. I'd like to be able to set a default Height, Position Type, Remove Line When Blank and Blank When Null. Thanks in advance for the help.
  5. What band types can be dynamically resized based on stretching fields?
  6. First, thanks for your post. I have the subreports set to "fix relative to top" and stretch "relative to band height" I've attached the JRXML for your consideration. Thanks again for looking into my problem.
  7. ... and one more. 4. Why can't I change the split type from Default on some of my sections?
  8. Replying to my own post to ask a couple of additional questions: 1. It seems like the Last Page Footer doesn't get the same treatment as far as overlap is concerned. Is this correct? 2. It seems like the Summary doesn't get the same treatment as far as stretching is concerned. Is this correct? 3. Will grouped elements always stay together on the same page?
  9. I'm fighting an iReport problem, so I"m finally breaking down and asking for help. I have a fairly complex report. It has a Title section, page headers and footers, a last page footer and three detail sections. The first two detail sections are subreports. If I select "Ignore Pagination" everything comes out perfectly, except for the obvious issue of page breaks being non-existent. That's how I know the report COULD work. With pagination enabled, some of the elements on the second subreport (Detail 2) overlap some elements in the Last Page Footer. The Detail 3 band in this particular case doesn't print due to a PrintWhen expression. I've confirmed there's no overlap of subreports. Each subreport is set to be 50px high, and their respective bands are 50px high. I've set all the elements in the Last Page Footer to "Float" so they can move if they have to. Is there a way to group objects that will cause them to always be kept together, breaking the page early if necessary? I do feel like I'm constantly fighting either having far too much whitespace or overlapping elements. I'm really hoping someone's got some tips that might help. Thanks in advance.
