SOLVED (partially) For some reason the jdbc jar file is being deleted from the driver classpath. Can I overcome this by adding it by default? I tried adding the jar to the classpath environment variable with no luck.

Hello all, I am trying to work with studio and mysql. It seems that all attempts to connect to the databse return this error: ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver I am also using iReport 4.1.1 which is working fine with the same database.It is a local mysql database, 64bit, on windows 7.
