  1. Thanks for the reply. I probably also should have said that I am using a table. In the end it was easier to create a query in sql to get exactly the data I needed. Thanks for taking the time to reply :-) Tony
  2. Hi there I posted this a week or so ago, but so far no luck, so I thought I would try again. Does anyone have any idea on the issue below? Thanks in advance. I am tring to achieve a couple of things with a table I have in a report. The first is if a field in a record exceeds a particular value I want to print another row below that row with some warning text in one field, and another value in another field. I have tried to achieve this using groovy, and have tried the following without any luck: AND($F{Stats_Days}>=250)||"305 days due" The second thing I want to achieve might not be possible, but again, if a field exceeds a particular value I want to add another row with some different data. Any help or advice would be gratefully received. Cheers Tony

  4. Thanks for the response M.B. Morgan. I guess I didn't make myself clear enough though. What I was really looking for was a way to write a query in the Expression editor, as I already have an sql query which has delivered data to me in the format outlined. Would be great to know if it's possible, or whether I have to re-write the sql to deliver the data in a different manner to start with.
  5. Hi I am designing a report in Jaspersoft Studio and have data arranged in the following format Col 1 Col 2 Col 3 data 1 data 2 data 3 data 4 data 5 data 6 What I would like some help with is in writing a query that will give me the contents of Col 3 when Col 1 = data1 and Col 2 = data 2 All fields are strings. Would greatly appreciate some help on what might be the correct syntax. Thanks in advance. Tony
  6. Did you ever find out how to do this, or if it is in fact possible - I am also in the same position. Cheers Tony
  7. Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread in the future, the answer is that the column settings will only work if the table is placed in the Detail band!
  8. Friendly bump. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this?
  9. Hello all I am fairly new to Jaspersoft, but I think I have my head around the basic concepts, but this issue is beyond my current level of knowledge! I am trying to build a report with the followingstructure: Data FieldSeq. NoBlank 1Blank 2Blank 3Data FieldSeq. NoBlank 1Blank 2Blank 3Data FieldSeq. NoBlank 1Blank 2Blank 3Data FieldSeq. NoBlank 1Blank 2Blank 3Data FieldSeq. NoBlank 1Blank 2Blank 3$F{Data Field}$V{REPORT COUNT} Continue from Data FieldContinue from Seq No Continue from Data FieldContinue from Seq No Continue from Data FieldContinue from Seq No Continue from Data FieldContinue from Seq No The data in the first Data Field needs to then flow to the second Data Field, and then the third and so on, and the Report Count should continue to count until it fills all rows and columns. Once the data has populated all of the fields on the first page, it should then move onto the second page. I have looked at groups, expressions and everything else I can think of, but nothing seems to solve my problem. Here's hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Cheers Tony
