hi theclosh, if i use table to achieve the requirement, will the table able to print out years horizontally ? because we wont know how many years will user choose to view, and im not sure how to print the years horizontally, i thought only crosstab can do that.

And i also failed to display the running number (column Num). Is using crosstab to achieve above report the correct way ?

But has the same value with row "c". Is there any way to do that ? I was trying to create one dataset in crosstab and drag the value into list in crosstab, but it doesn't work in crosstab. and I also try to use sql to solve this, but it wil create a lot of null value in crosstab.

hi koplo3, drag the variable to the "page footer" band and set the textfield's "evaluation time" to "band"

hi koplo3, to do that, first, you create an variable, put double quote in the initial value, and concat the desired field and comma into it in the variable expression. Then use substring to massage the string out in the textfield. hope it helps u.

Initially I want to print the crosstab in center and expand the width when is growing. But i found its impossible. So.. is there any way to stretch crosstab by fitting it to the band width size? Like no matter how big or small is the crosstab, it always print in full page.

Hi gootjemar, thanks for your reply. I have tried putting the crosstab in detail band, but it cause me "Error filling print... Error incrementing crosstab dataset" error. So i put back my crosstab to summary band and choose "float" position for my graph, and its split (I put cosstab and graph in summary band). Right now, i got one more problem, my title is printed in new page, how do i prevent that? I want my title and crosstab in one page and graph on another page. * I did not tick "Title on a new page" for my report. Post Edited by cairokl at 03/07/2012 03:17

I have created an report with crosstab and chart, in between I have put page break from palette. But it seems the page break is not function and causes chart is printed over crosstab. I have attached the jaspers files from ireport and screenshot for references.
