we put this change in and JRS has not sent a duplicate in over 2 weeks, which is a record. So we think we may be out of the woods, although I probably just jinxed the whole thing!

did you ever get an answer or reach a resolution on this? because we have been experiencing the exact same behavior.

We have been experiencing an apparently unique behavior with our recent install of 4.5. When a report is run in the background or scheduled, about 30% of the time, multiple emails are sent. This has resulted in as many as 40 separate emails with the same subject line, distribution lists and data attachments; timestamped reports with each additional send are incremented by about 5 minutes (which I'm assuming is the time to run the report). I haven't seen anything about this in the forums and called jasper support, but they've never heard about this. We are experiencing this with PostgreSQL reports as well as Hive reports. Any leads or direction that you could provide would be appreciated as this is contributing huge annoyance to our customers. My intuition assumes that this is a lame, undocumented configuration thing. Please help!

I've built a simple report in iReport (no groups, parameters, subreports, just data with column header and a title) and loaded into JasperServer. The pdf version exports fine. However, when i export to excel formats, the column header vanishes. Does anyone have experience with this issue? How do I remedy? Thanks, from a relative newbie!
