I'm wondering if it is some way to compile jasper template directly from (for example) String object. I want to avoid creating *.jrxml file on disk. If you have some ideas I'd be glad to try them on. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have some problem with designing a jrxml file. I have to put values from datasource into attributes of ReportElement. For example in this way: <field name="X" class="java.lang.Integer"/> <field name="Y" class="java.lang.Integer"/> ... <reportElement x="$F{X}" y="$F{Y}" width="100" height="20"/> but it generates error. Anyone have some idea how to achive this?
