I am attempting a Linux installation of jasperserver-ce-3.7.0-linux-installer.bin on a HostGator VPS. I do have root access. The hardcoding within the installation script is looking for 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost - is there a workaround? My VPS Cpanel also requires that the database user be setup as "cpanelusername_jaspersdb" versus the hardcoded "jasperdb"...if the above localhost problem gets solved - what's the workaround for the database user issue? I like what I see in JasperServer - I hope to find some solutions here... NOTE to forum admin: any thought to adding sub-topics in this forum, i.e., Installation issues...using the search feature generates an unreasonable amount of responses
