  1. Simplest answer is to verify that you have mysql and tomcat installed on your Linux system -- install them if not -- both installs are easy, then just follow the install document, running the ant scripts as described there. It gives you a bit more flexibility in how you set things up, so I would generally prefer that over the install-everything-script anyway.
  2. I am seeing a problem with the display of frames in 3.7.0 (CE). A very simple dashboard -- I am using the Foodmart sample data to drive this demonstration of the issue. Two frames, the first contains a bar chart, showing the stores with the smallest number of employees, and the second contains a list of the newest employees. This works fine in iReport. Deploy to Jasperserver and look at it there, and there are display problems with the second frame. This problem varies - in some cases, the frame doesn't display at all and neither does the contents, in other cases, the content displays, but the frame doesn't. However, view any of the other display modes (PDF, Flash, RTF, etc.) and the display is fine. Attachment 1 shows the html display of the report Attachment 2 shows the flash display - note the frame (big red). Attachment 3 is jrxml file Edit To Add: I tried using a rectangle to enclose the list (sent to back) - same issues, I see the list, but not the rectangle when viewing directly from Jasperserver -- iReports and any display mode on jasperserver (except html) are fine. this seems to be a general html-view rendering problem with any overlapping objects.
