Hello all, I'm really new in jasper, so doesn't know if possible ... I need to print a product name. If this product name has a code, the variable to print will be formed by the product code and the product name. The product code will be placed between [ ]. So, it will look like this : [My product code] Here's my product name If the product has no code, onl y the procduct name will be displayed. What I've to do is : if there's a code, I need to remove the [ ] and if there's no code, so I've to fill with white spaces (15). The idea, when printing, is to have always the first column reserved for the product code . So, I don't know if there's a function to find a char in a string. According to the fact that when there's a product code, the first char of the sring will be a [, I need to know where will be the ] char (the code has not always the same length). is there a way to do that ? Hello all, I'm fighting now since several days with subreport using ireport. I need to include subreports in a subreport. I already read some posts about that and It seems I've to include my subreports in the same level. then, I've to play with the datasources. The problem is that my datasource is a xml file. So really doesnt know how to do it. Any help is welcome Thanks

I need to introduct subtotal in my reports. The problem is that the subtotals can be anywhere. I explain : I've some order lines. Each line type can be a product, a titel or a subtotal. When the line type is product, there's a price. From the beginning of the report, I need that a variable calculate the sum of every line that is of product type. As soon as it is a subtotal line type, I'd like that the amount is displayed than the value reset to 0. Is it possible to do that ? If yes, can someone give me some help ? There's about 4 hours I'm trying but withou any success ... :( Per advance, thanks for your help Arnaud

Hello all, Sitll very new in iReport but I'm trying to do the followin. I've a report (let's say an invoice). Im my detail band, I'v one line per article, so the number of lines is not know. In fact, I'm calling the report from another applicaton. I transmitt the invoice and the invoice lines. If my cusotmer's language is english, I need to translate my fixed fiels in english. If german, in german. Now, If I create a new invoice the language of the invoice is dependant of the customer ... and the language of the customer is contained inside the field value {Lang} I dont know it what i said is clear ... but thanks

Hello all, I'm very new to jasper reports, so that's why I'm requesting your help. I made a report about an invoice with ireport and I'd like that some fix fiels (like 'invoice', 'Description', Price, etc.) Can be translated depended of the client. I've some clients who speak french and other ones who speak german. I made 3 different properties files (my_rapport.properties, my_rapport_de_DE.properties and my_rapport_fr_FR.properties). In my invoice I've a field F$F{Lang} which gives to me the langage of the client. I'd like to call the right properties file depending of this value. I already looked for tr() function, subreport with the value in paramater but dont know how to do that.. Any help would be appreciated Regards Arnaud

Hello, I'm completely new to IReports, so maybe a little bit stupid ;) I made a report and I'd like that some fields are written in the langage of the client. I've a field called F{lang} which contains the language of the client (for example, "de_DE") and I would like to pass this value to my subreport. So, on the properties of the subreport, I create a new parameter with the name REPORT_LOCALE and for the expression I entered $P{REPORT_LOCALE).getCountry($F{lan}) but of course it doesnt work. So, I dont know the syntax I need to pass this value to my subreport ... Any help is very welcomed. Thanks

Hello all, I'm completely new in jasper report so ... I've the following problem. In my report, I've a currency field. When I click on pattern to select the good one, the amount format is displayed correctly (in my case, 1'123.40) (I'd like to display the thousands separator). But when I save the report and apply it, the thousand separtor is not ' but , . In the same way, if I choose the currency pattern, the sample displayed is correct (in my case Sfr. 1'234.40) but when the report is saved and applied, the currency become $ 1,234.40. Don't know what to do to correct that (I'm using jasper report 3.6.0). Per advance, thanks for your help
