  1. Forgive the use of the code area for my message but for some reason I am unable to enter a message using firefox. It seems to work ok from IE. Post Edited by jimrey at 2009-08-31 16:26
  2. I am very new to the Jasper world and have been tossed in head first so forgive me ignorance. In iReports 2.0.5 there was a menu option for Data. This allowed you to select your Connection/Datasource and then you could use the Report Query with XPath and thendrag and drop the XML fields that you want to use. In the new version 3.5.3 I do not see such an optionand I have to manually add the fields. Am I missingsomething or was this option removed? Post Edited by jimrey at 2009-08-31 16:30
  3. No parameters are passed to the sub report. The criteria page and sub report both get all data from an XML data file. Jim
  4. Hello, I have a simple Inventory listing report with a criteria page and a subreport that shows the inventory. Recently we upgraded to the latest version 3.5.3 of iReports and the report runs but no data was showing up on the subreport (page and column headers, paging was showing fine just not the item data). The criteria page worked fine. I made some changes to the criteria page (added some missing criteria to output) and made minor changes to the subreport (to get the data to show). Both reports work seperately when I run them within the windows iReports but when I send them over to run on the Jasperserver on the linux server I only get the criteria page. I am not getting any errors that I can see and I have the full path pointing to the subreport but I am only getting the criteria page. Does anyone have an idea what I have done as I cannot see any reason why it would not work and I am not getting any errors. I am new to IReports/Jasperserver so its is something I did in my modifications but I cannot see what it is that is causing this problem. Thanks Jim
  5. We are currently using the community version of JasperServer and iReports. Thanks for the reply.
  6. Hello, I am rather new to the Jasper arena and I was told by the previous developer that JasperServer and iReports have to have compatiable versions and the version numbers may not be the same. I was wonder if that is the case or can I use any version of iReports with JasperServer? Thanks in advance, Jim
