  1. Is there anyway to stop a query from JasperServer once it has been issued? So if a user accidently sends an inappropriate query they can stop it on their own without having to contact the DBA. Or is there a way to limit how long a query can be executed on the DB such that it is automatically terminated after say 5 or 10 minutes? thanks, Matt
  2. Someone recommended using a 'Time Series Graph' in another post which seems to display and scale the dates more appropriately.
  3. I am stuck on the same issue .. I have a 100 different dates I would like to display on the X-axis and using the default 'theme' there are just little ticks where the dates should be. The 'eye.candy.sixties' 'theme' displays all of the dates but they are right on top of each other. It would be great if I could display every other (or more ideally every 5th, 10th or 20th). Either of you stumble across a solution. thanks,
  4. Hello, This evolved into a 2 part question (somewhat related but not so much). 1) I am using a JasperServer Linux install and am curious which web browsers are supported? I looked through the JS Ultimate guide and couldn't find anything. Between Firefox (on Mac X), Safari (on Mac X), and Internet Explorer (on Windows XP) ... Safari has been the most reliable (I would have guessed IE but it has been a dog). Perhaps Firefox on XP? 2) I built a straight forward domain and am trying to query a couple fairly large tables (mainly 1 which is > 11 million rows). When I go to build an Adhoc report I apply a filter for date and 1 specific day (which should substantially decrease what the query has to return whereas the table being queried is INDEXED on the appropriate fields - When I create and run the same query (which I think should be the same) in MySQL it returns in seconds). Once I get to the Adhoc Report Builder Screen, I pull over a date (which should be the roll-up on the one day I filter for) and the screen gets spun out on the ' Retrieving ... ' and never returns an error or anything. So I am curious if I can view the SQL that has been generated by this Adhoc Report within JasperServer and prior to running the report (to make sure everything looks OK). Any suggestions? Or must I use the Admin tool on the database side (in the case MySQL)? -THANKS-
  5. Thanks Matt!!! I put it on the JasperAnalysis forum for the gurus to look at! I did do a windows install last night and noticed that you have to run a BAT file every time you want to start the app. I wonder if I am missing something there.
  6. Hola, Can I run the JasperAnalysis Schema Workbench on a Mac? I realize that it's a desktop tool but the only download I found appears to be for a PC: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperserver/files/ Anybody run this app on their Mac? thanks

  8. Hello Gurus, I built a report in iReport 3.5.1 for Mac and published it to a Linux instance of JasperServer 3.5.1. The simple parameters I included for a date range work in the full-client iReport but when I publish the report to JasperServer there is no prompting and the report says there are no pages to display. One potential issue is that I don't have default parameters set. This is bec whatever date format I select is rejected. Runs fine in iReport but not on JS. Any ideas? thanks
  9. Odd ... I am a newbie .. is there something I need to do to activate it?
  10. I am in the same boat on 3.5.3 which I have installed on a Mac OS X (10.5.8) ... everything else seems fine but the palette is disabled (it includes an EMPTY option that is greyed out) ... Did you ever get resolution on this? Any advice? thanks, mc
  11. I am on 3.5.3 for iReport and 3.5.1 for JasperServer and have come across the sliptype error but not any of the new ones (haven't yet done a great deal of development). So is it recommended that my iReport is 3.5.1 to match the JasperServer install so that the libraries match? thanks
