Can somebody please clarify whether the following features are supported in iReport:- sorting based on groups and detail records automatic styles (default style for tables, text fields etc..) hierarchical group display vector images (eg SVG format) Page Break after N records

Hi, I tried to generate a pdf report with over 3 million records with one group criteria. I have tried with JRFileVirtualizer as well as JRSwapFileVirtualizer but the report does not get generated even after 6 hours. After 2/3 hours, the hard disk spins like crazy and the system is thrashing. Please suggest a way to overcome this problem. Post Edited by coolguy at 06/21/2009 03:04

Just a thought; Is the data type of the cell set to numeric?

Please use a subclass of JRVirtualizer class to set up the secondary cache.You can choose from JRFIleVirtualizer, JRSwapFileVirtualizer and JRGZipVirtualizer. This will help you to come out of the OutOfMemoryError. Please check the jasper reports samples (virtualizer subfolder) to get a sample java code. PFA attached sample code from the jasperreports sample. Hope this helps!
