  1. On two different reports I've noticed this - when viewed in pdf format, some data fields have inexplicable line feeds that defy logic, because in other records in the report, the same field with longer output data will not have a return. For instance, I have a field in the report for "COUNTY". When the county is "ESSEX" there is a line feed before the "X", so it is on it's own line. But when the county is "HUDSON", which is longer, there is no line feed (see the attachement). I have seen this in both group headers and detail sections. Thanks in advance for any help. 2. I'm creating a report with a crosstab, but the crosstab data will not print out. If I put the raw data into the report, it appears. If I put a text next to where the crosstab should appear, it will print out for each table that should appear. If I make the crosstab opaque and change the background color I get a colored square. I'm using IReport 3.5 for this. Any help will be appreciated. Mike
  3. Figured it out all by myself (yes, it was an accident, but I figured it out just the same) It appears if items are drawn in the order they are listed in the report inspector on the left side. If the shape is the first thing listed, all other items will be drawn on top of it.
  4. I am trying to put a background shape (rounded rectangle) in parts of a report - such as page headers. I can add rectangles, but if I make them opaque, they cover the text. If I don't make them opaque, they are invisible. I am very new to JasperReports, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
