sorry for being late with reply. The property is only available in xml mode and not supported by ireport gui. To including the passwordprotection you have to add the following row to your jasper file: <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.password" value="securePassword"/> can you plz support my change request to control the cell block property in protection mode out oj jasper. http://jasperforge.org/plugins/mantis/view.php?id=3667 thx

Hello mattcorr, generating an protected excel worksheet can be done by setting the new xls parameter (since v.3) net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls.password. I wrote an feature request for an parameter to mark cells as readable/writeable when protection mode is active, because all cells are readonly if you set the password to any value. I hope this helps

Its really important to me! Please can somebody let me know if there is any possibility to control the blocked property of an excel cell out of jasper reports. If not i would write a feature request and hoping for the next version.

good morning, i spent a whole day to find out if "net.sf.jasperreports.export.xls" includes any feature to control the "blocked" property of an excel cell. Accordant to the requirements of our costumer we need to export a password protected excel file with editable and protected columns. Using formulas and password protection is working fine but i cant find any possibility to set up a cell/colum is writable or read-only in case of activated worksheet protection.
