  1. Thanks for the Advice. This is a nice idea.. I decided to just put them before the SQL statement so that it shows in the SQL window at the top.. It works out just fine for now.. Thanks!!
  2. I just tyhought of it I think.. Add the comments like Author and revision information to the SQL Statement..
  3. Has anyone come up with any creative ideas to have xml comments stay intact?

  5. Hello, Is there anywhay within the report definition to concatinate a single PAGE PDF onto the end of my report when exporting? I know that I can just do this after generating the report by using iText. Just wondering if there is a way to do it in the jrxml. Jeff
  6. I am taking the subreport route.. I created a simple subreport with the small amount of text and it looks like ireport produces a very clean xml.. I was avoiding subreports because I thought it would be a resource monster.. Now I am just trying to get the subreport to show up in my main report.. IT shos up if In the main report I set the subreport to use and empty datasource. It doesn't show up if I tell it to use no datasource.. I would guess no datasource would be optimal since the subreport just has some text with no referecne to a database. Post Edited by slinkeey at 11/09/2009 19:38
  7. I though Reosurce Bundles were stricly for Internationalization. Can I only have one .properties file per report? I have used java in a textbox expression to do some neat things.. I actually thought of writing my own class with a method to read from a text file and then referecne that in a textfield. Jeff
  8. I was able to do this using a resource bundle. I don't think that this is the preferred way though..
  9. Hello, I would like to put a message in the footer of tha last page of every report. Is there any way to have a text file (xml, html, xsl-fo) used to put this message on the bottom? Basically I want to be able to change one file an affect all my reports. IT is kind of how I can swap an image by just replacing the image file. I would rather not store my message as an image though. Thanks! Post Edited by slinkeey at 11/06/2009 19:29
  10. Thanks for the advice... I had it doing that.... I also noticed that Text Wizard must look at the datasource to figure out size.. On;y thing is that it doesn't just leave the data alone. Thanks!!
  11. Hello, Is it possible to resize the fields in a preview window or something when data is present kind of like Crystal Reports? Sometimes resizing in design view can be a mystery if you don't know how big it will be unless you have data on the screen. Thanks, Jeff
