I resolved the problem by installing postgresql newest jdbc driver.

Caused by: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: transaction is read-only I am seeing this error returned when I run a jasper report. If I run the report from iReport using the same query I have no problems. I am running postgreSQL 8.0 and the newest jasper report server 3.1.
