  1. I try to apply the style defined in the master repport to all the cells including a sub-report. All the other cell is getting the style ok except for the sub-report. Can the sub-report take the master report style? I assume that is the case because in the properties of the sub-report, I can choose the style defined in the master report. But it does not work for me. Why? Please find out more details in my attachemet. Any prompt reply would be appreciated. Jenny
  2. Hi, I found your information is very useful. I try to locate the 2 postings you recommended but they are not available any more. Could you please double check and update the links again? If not, would you at least list the title of both listings so that I can search for them? thank you very much, Jenny
  3. I install JasperServer 3.0 to my server in Linux. The installation document does not mention how to start up in the Linux environment. After iReport starts, how can we access to it from a broswer?
  4. I install JasperServer Pro to our development server in Linux. Now JasperServer is up and I am able to login to the home page and view repository, etc. However, when I try to login to mysql in the server to create a development database there, I encounter the following error: [root@sfotrkdev mysql]# mysql -uroot -p Enter password: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) [root@sfotrkdev mysql]# mysql -u jasperdb -p Enter password: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) As you see, I can't login to MYSQL database using either “root” or “jasperdb” users. I use “password” as their password. But the "mysqld" process is up. See below: [root@sfotrkdev mysql]# ps -ef | grep mysqld root 14789 1 0 10:58 pts/0 00:00:00 /bin/sh /usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe --port=3306 --socket=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock --old-passwords --datadir=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/data --log-error=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/data/mysqld.log --pid-file=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/data/mysqld.pid --default-table-type=InnoDB mysql 14827 14789 0 10:58 pts/0 00:00:00 /usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/bin/mysqld --basedir=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql --datadir=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/data --user=mysql --pid-file=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/data/mysqld.pid --skip-locking --port=3306 --socket=/usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock --old-passwords --default-table-type=InnoDB root 15351 14495 0 15:05 pts/0 00:00:00 grep mysqld [root@sfotrkdev mysql]# which mysql /usr/jasperserver-pro-3.0/mysql/bin/mysql Do you know what I did wrong? Can anybody confirm that the "root" password is "password" in the buddled MYSQL? Your quick reply is appreciated.
