We have issue with isStartNewPage= "true" when we are using multiple subreports. is this a limitation of jasper reports ? Here is the scenario : We have two subreports one with isStartNewPage="true" and the other with isStartNewPage="false" We are calling these two subreports from a main JRXML based on a condition. we are able to sucessfully call the subreport. but the flag isStartNewPage="true" which is inside the group does not execute. Does any one know why the condition isStartewPage="true" inside the group is not getting executed ?

I have to generate a report with many chapters. To display each chapter I am calling a sub report. My requirement is to display One type of header at the starting of each subreport. for the consecutive pages of that chaper I need different type of header. Is this possible with jasper reports ?

Hi, Does any one know how to identify the type of page break. Page break can happen only in two ways : 1. Jasper Engine can start the new page when the previous page gets filled. 2. We can force a page break through isStartNewPage="true" (this tag is defined inside the report group) My Requirement is : When the page break is occured through jasper engine I want one type of header and when the page break is through isStartNewPage="true" I want to use a different type of header. So how do we differentiate whether page break is happened becuase of Engine or isStartNewPage="true" ??? Quick reply appreciated.
