  1. I am having problems with Jasper server not picking up daylight savings time. I have tried switching the time zone in my Data Source from New York Standard to blank, thinking it would pick up the server time(which is correct) and restarted, same result. All reports pull EDT when run from iReport, but it's just a problem when run from the Jasper Server. Any pointers?
  2. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hi, I need to pass a series of numbers separated by commas via a parameter. I've created a string parameter (since it seems to be the only thing that will work) and it properly passes the contents to the sql query. Is there a way however to not have it put single quotes on each end so it recoginizes the contects as numbers separated by commas and not as a single string of text? Looking at my SQl log on the server it is passing eg. IN ('70971,90972') instead of IN (70971,70972). Any thoughts? Thanks! Post Edited by Todd Lind at 04/02/09 20:23
  4. Hi, I'm a very good crystal developer and make extensive use of formula fields to manipulate data. I need to do the same things in JasperReports but am a lousy java programmer. Is there any resource out that that would help me with explore / understand (either Java or Groovy ) the crystal / vb formula components, vs doing them in java or groovy? Thanks! ~todd
  5. Questions from a nubie... I have Jasper server (2.x) running well, populated with reports, etc. I know what to be able to call reports from a core internal web app. In using the API's when it talks about the uri is am I correct that it's the "virtual" path based on the structure of the folders within Jasper server and not a physical location on the drive (since it appears that when you import a report the defination file gets read into a blob and not copied to a physical location on the drive?? Thanks for any input.
  6. Hi Matt, Found it and it worked perfectly (with a server stop and start). For anyone out there the path is to: /opt/jasperserver-2.1/apache-tomcat/webapps/jasperserver/WEB-INF (I installed jasper under /opt off of the root.) Thanks so much! Regards, Todd
  7. I have download and installed the linux installer of jasperserver 2.1.x I used a pre-existing installation of MySQL and the and used the bundled tomcat. during the wizard I configured the smpt for report sending. I made a mistake and it will not login to the smtp account. I found the file that another thread pointed to : /opt/jasperserver-2.1/scripts/config/js.mail.properties That file had no parameters in it. So I populated it with the correct information. However the message log is still showing an error and the original information. So obviously there is another place the smtp for either Tomcat or jasper is located. Can you point me to that place??? Thanks! ~todd
