  1. This is a classic confusion of Open Source and Free. Jaspersoft is quite adept at making money, look at http://www.jaspersoft.com/JasperShop.html Aspose exporters are just intended to be an addition to the Jasper ecosystem.
  2. Hi Teodor and others on the team, We (Aspose) have appeared in these forums a few times with info about our exporters products for JasperReports and JasperServer. This is a year old thread http://jasperforge.org/plugins/espforum/view.php?group_id=112&forumid=102&topicid=42445 and some more recent posts like this http://jasperforge.org/plugins/espforum/view.php?group_id=102&forumid=103&topicid=1310. My question is what do you think is an acceptable way for us to promote our products at your site? It would be desirable for us to get some sort of a "permanent" lisiting as some sort of a partnet, but I looked at your partnet programs and there is no suitable fit for us. We are just left to reply with a link to our product to questions like "how to export to DOC"? Maybe adding a link to Aspose in your FAQ or creating another page 3rd Party Exporters? Here are the links by the way if you want to include them http://www.aspose.com/categories/jasperreports-exporters/aspose.words-for-jasperreports/default.aspx http://www.aspose.com/categories/jasperreports-exporters/aspose.slides-for-jasperreports/default.aspx Thanks, Roman Korchagin Post Edited by Roman Korchagin at 04/06/09 08:08
  3. Thanks heaps. Exactly what I was lookig for. We are doing it to work for JasperServer too now.
  4. Thanks for your interest. PPT exporter is actually the first one being released. But my question still stands. Is it possible for admins to add new exporters to JasperServer? I would expect this is possible via a configuration file, but after looking through all documentation I cannot see a way to do so. Hence another question. We would be happy to contribute to JasperServer development by creating the feature of adding custom exporters via a configuration file. Will it be welcome?
  5. Aspose, our company is about to release several products that are JasperReports Exporters. They are built using our document processing components and will allow export to DOC, OOXML, PPT and XLS formats. Here is a question: are you interested in having export to these formats in JasperServer too? I can't find a suitable documentation regarding whether an admin of JasperServer can add custom exporters. I can see JasperReports Configuration Reference but it does not seem to say anything about adding more exporters.
