Does anyone know if there is an option to pinpoint locations on Google maps using JasperStudio?
-
You probably want to use jasperstudio to query the cube. If you wan to create a cube, you'll probably want to use http://mondrian.pentaho.com or JaserETL to do it.
-
Just add an external jar file using the application.

how to transfer from OLTP db to OLAP db using JasperETL
drodinthe559 replied to larvi_77's topic in Products
I suggest taking the Database Administration Certificate program through O`Reilly's certificate program (http://www.oreillyschool.com/certificates/) since it provides all the fundamentals with implementing OLAP using JapserETL. If that not an option or in the budget, I can set it up for you for a small fee. Thanks, David -
JasperETL-All-r35442-V3.2.3 install on Mac 10.6 (

Do you have to doing anything special to install the Perl Modules? I downloaded them from CPAN via command line, but the modules still show as being not installed. See attached. -
Nevermind, I figured it out. I guess I needed to set the Perl Active State perl path. The default is in Jasper.
-
I'm having trouble installing the DBD::MySQL drivers on JasperETL 3.2.3.r35442. I've installed ActiveState Perl and ran "ppm install DBD::Mysql", which installed the driver fine. So, when I bring up Jasper it still shows as a missing module. See attached screen shot. Any suggestions??? Thanks, Dave

Hi, does anyone recommend a tool to build MDX queries? I believe Mondrian has a tool to use. Thanks,David

I had the same problem. I changed the compatibility to 3.5.0 as suggested in the in one of the previous threads. After the change, I changed something in my report so it would enable the save button. Then I pressed the save button which iReport promted me to keep the report in the most current version or older version. I added it to my repository, and it worked.

I thought I had it, but I don't know. Again, has anyone gotten SQL jdbc 2.0 to work with JasperServer? I found a few interesting things during my testing. One, when I put the JDBC drivers in the common/lib folder, I get an error while testing the connection. Currently, I have it in scripts/drivers, but it just fails.
-
Disregard the above posting. I download the Windows version of the JDBC driver.

Hi Everyone, do the SQL JDBC drivers work with JasperServer 3.5? I've installed JasperServer on SUSE11 using the tomcat bundle option. I also copied the MSSQL JDBC drivers in every directory possible. I copied it to into the scripts/drivers, apache-tomcat/common/lin/, scripts/lib, and scripts/lib/lib folder. Below is the error message I get when I press "Test Connection". Can anyone help? This seems to only happen when you try to add a flat file to meta data. Isn't there an easier way to do this? Dave size=300]http://www.jasperforge.org/components/com_joomlaboard/uploaded/images/error-5809767d9b94b3042041cfd4a18161b0.jpg Post edited by: drodinthe559, at: 2008/05/08 04:59

Well I figured out when adding a text file to the meta data definition that it doesn't work. When it is added into the actual job, it works fine. Let me know if anyone else has came across this same scenario. Dave:huh:

Hi all, Does anyone know how to correctly import a delimited or positional text file? I've tried a number of times without any luck; however, I was able to able to connect to database using an JDBC driver. By the way, I'm using the latest version of JasperETL (2.3.2). I've attached a few screen shots of the simple file I'm trying to read. Thank you.
