check the log of catalina. i.e. catalina.out here tomcat logs are located in. /opt/jasperserver-pro-2.1/apache-tomcat/logs/ note: you can find running tomcat dir with "ps aux|grep tomcat" now monitor log while stopping and starting jasper server. Found one error related to host while starting jasper server. Code:19:51:56,143 ERROR Cache,main:97 - Unable to set localhost. This prevents creation of a GUID. Cause was: AAMGT1266.localdomain: AAMGT1266.localdomain Add one entry in "/etc/hosts" file Code:[code]127.0.0.1 AAMGT1266.localdomain and restart jasper server. thats it. regards noorul.rakesh.anuj
