Poor guy! I hope your problem has been resolved. Frankly speaking, I don't know why this happen. However, I suggest that you can avoid this by using some tips: you can use select expiry_date_1 as expiryDateA, expiry_date_2 as expiryDateB.....expiry_date_10 as expiryDateX,expiry_date_11 as expiryDateXI..... Perhaps iReport can not recognize the alphabet, number mixed with "_" or other symbol. I hope this can help you.

You can see all bands including Title,Page Header,Detail,Summary,ect. Click the '+' before it and you will see all the objects ,you can select it here.

Just now I want to export an Excel Report. There are too many columns. So I choose to change the format of the report choose page format-> change the default 'A4' to 'A2' set previw as 'excel' ,and run.It seems ok. while I change the page format to 'A1' and run . The problem occured: nothing dispaly in excel,but if I use PDF preview, there is no problem. the same problem will occured if I choose 'A0' To my suprise, I decided to use 'custom' format, once I set the widtn below 27 inches , I works OK with excel Once I set the width bigger than 27 inches ,the same problem occured with excel. but they are all right in PDF. Who can tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks

I want to export an excel by using ireport. The problem is there are 40 columns... I can't put them all in the design window. If I set all the fields' width to 15 or even small and strench with overflow,another problem occured: the content of the field can't be displayed normally,they are seperated by different pages. How can I export such kind of excel report correctly? Thanks!

Thank you for your help. I tried a lot,including the [Relative to tallest Object],it still doesn't work. Finally , I decieded to create a new file, and put the variable in [Detail] 1.apply [strech with overflow ] 2.choose [Relative to tallest Object] and it works. I compare the new one with the former one, and find that there is a different: I set [Position Type] as "Float" for the former one while for the new one I choosed "Fix relative to top". Maybe that is the reason...

Dear all: I need to display a String which is combined by two Fields in a PDF file, So I create a variable ,the Variable expression just like this: $F{itemDesc}+" / "+$F{itemDescEng} Considering of the result maybe too long to be displayed, I find the [Strech with overflow ] property and checked it. However, it doesn't work. To make sure I'm not making mistake, I checked this property for another Filed( not a Variable ) To my suprise, It works. Anyone can help me ?
