Hi Friends, In JasperServer it seems in below given classes that the connection for report generation is persistent. Once connection established, JasperServer retains it in a pool until server restarts. com.jaspersoft.jasperserver.api.engine.jasperreports.service.impl.BaseJdbcDataSource com.jaspersoft.jasperserver.api.engine.jasperreports.service.impl.JdbcReportDataSourceServiceFactory It seems that timeout is not working which is defined here. Could anybody let me know what the default value of timeout is for ReportDataSource? What should I do if I want to use simple JDBC connection from report database instead of using connection pool given in above mentioned classes? I do not want to use connection pool. Where is the call of closeConnection() function given in com.jaspersoft.jasperserver.api.engine.jasperreports.service.impl.BaseJdbcDataSource Thanks in advance. How can I use it in WEB-INF/jasperserver-servlet.xml Kindly provide modified lines of WEB-INF/jasperserver-servlet.xml file and available links of previous threads which are related to this topic. Hi all, When multiple users are trying to access JasperServer to get output of JasperReport, many times given below exception occured. In Jasper Server, when I run the Adhoc report and click on START button to execute it, field selector screen appeares and after selecting desired columns I again run the report with default its parameters.The report gets executed in sufficent time if the value of default parameter is such that it selects some records. But when the records are in large amount, it will takes very long time and breakes the session. I get the login page again when I try to get next page in HTML ouput or click on export pdf button. Can anyone help in improving the performance of Adhoc report processing. Thanks in advance. Noorul

Hi All, I am evaluating Jasper Server Professional. I have uploaded a report on it. When my report outputs more than two pages, then I can go on second, third …nth pages by clicking next and previous button given on html output of report. I can export it in PDF, RTF format when needed. But when my report outputs html in two pages, then I am unable to go to next page because next and previous buttons are absent from the top of the report. Let me know anyone that absence of next and previous button when html report in two pages, is a bug of this software or my mistake in making report? How can I remove this problem? Please help me. Hi, I want to execute Jasper Reports, which is hosted on JasperServer, from URL as given below, http://.../jasperserver/...&j_username=..&j_password=.. &reportUnit=..&resourceType=..&etc.. I want to pass username, password, reportUnit, resourceType from url as query string. I need it in my custom web page for some selected reports hosted on JasperServer. Please help me. I want to execute a report hosted on JasperServer in our own web portal by using shortcut link,which appears in status bar when I put mouse cursor on Report Name. Dear Matt, Thanks for your co-operation and immediate reply. I'm using IE 6.0 2800.1106 on Windows 2000 Professional and IE 6.0.2900.2180 on Windows XP. Japanese string as user friendly names working well in above mentioned versions of IE 6.0. But when I want to drag these fields from list of available fields to group or table area in right side. It not works and throws exception on server, java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Trying to insert group for non existent column ?????? com.jaspersoft.ji.adhoc.AdhocTableState.insertGroup(AdhocTableState.java:393) But when I use Firefox, it's working for me. I am evaluating JasperServer-Professional. Can I use Japanese string (e.g. "æªå¼ä¼šç¤¾ã‚³ãƒ¼ãƒ‰" or "ãƒã‚¦ãƒã‚¡æ•°") as user friendly names in ad hoc reporting? I am using Japanese string in SQL query as alias. It works well in firefox, but not working in IE6 0r IE7 browsers. Please let me know what should I do for above problem.
