  1. Hi Betty, thanks for the answer. Yes, this is possible and I already thought about it. But to be serious this is not that pretty solution. Isn't jasper able to determine the number of groups so that I can use this in the suppress clause??? Regards, Sebastian
  2. Hi, is it possible to suppress the group header and -footer if I only have one group. In detail: We use the same report layout in our subsidiaries and in the headquarter. When creating a report we group by the subsidiaries. If we run the report in a subsidiary we only get data for this single location, so we only have one group. If we create the report at the headoffice, we'll get data for all localtions and will have more groups. The group header- and footer should only be displayed for the headoffice, as it contains for example the subsidiary name which. This information isn't needed when creating the report for only one subsidiray. Thanks in advance for your replies. Sebastian
  3. Hi, is it possible in jasper to split the detail band. This possiblity is given for example in Crystal Reports or Crystal Clear. It's helpful to maintain different designs for different detail sections. One field in the detail section is used to decide which part of the detail band should be printed. Thanks in advance! Regards, Sebastian
  4. Hi together, I have a BarChrat diagram in my report showing the turnover per weekday and the number of customers per weekday. That means for one day two bars are painted (one for the turnover, the other one for the customer count). In case that both values have the same dimension at the y-axis the bar for turnover is very large (for example 10.000,-) and the bar for customercount is nearly invisible (for example 3). Is it possible to have different dimensions for both??? Thanks in advance, Sebastian

  7. Hi Lucian, thanks for your answer, but this seems not to be working for me. If I directly place the sum field in my detail band and set the evaluation type to auto everything is fine. In each detail band I have the same value for sum. But I try to use the field in another varible to calculate a percentage value. In this case the sum only contains the sum of all values printed until now. For example: Count | Sum should be | % should be | % is 1 | 9 | 1/9 = 11% | 1/1 = 100% 3 | 9 | 3/9 = 33% | 3/4 = 75% 5 | 9 | 5/9 = 56% | 5/9 = 56% I tried a lot with changing evaluation type for all fields but it isn't working... Any ideas??? Post edited by: BatiB80, at: 2007/11/27 07:45
  8. Hi, I've a question which ahs been discussed here several times, but it seems that all the solutions are'nt working for me. Following problem: In my detail-band I show a field named $F{customerCount}. In the summary section I sum up this field and show the sum: $V{sumCustomerCount}. That is working fine. But additionally to the customerCount I want to show the percentage value of this customerCount from sum of customerCount. Therefor I added a new variable: new BigDecimal($F{customerCount}.doubleValue() / $V{sumCustomerCount}.doubleValue()) But this isn't working somehow. It seems, that the value for the sum isn't calculated yet. Does anybody knows what to do??? Thanks, Sebastian
