Thanks for the help, j. I'm not sure this information relates to my specific problem though. I'm talking about the plugin for iReport that comes with the JasperServer Open Source edition. I'm not sure what information I am supposed to enter into the add new server dialog in iReport. As I understand it, you enter any name you like for Name under Server Information, and jasperadmin/<password> under Account. I suspect that I'm mistaken about one of these.

By the way, according to the log file, this happens when the metadata population is generated.

Installer: jasperserver-pro-2.0-windows-bundled-installer.exe OS: Windows XP Pro

I get this error near the end of installation: Error running C:/PROGRA~1/JASPER~1.0/scripts/js-import.bat --input-dir js-catalog: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException: IOException parsing XML document from class path resource [config/applicationContext-export-import-pro.xml]; nested exception is java.io.FileNotFoundException: class path resource [config/applicationContext-export-import-pro.xml] cannot be oppened because it does not exist
