  1. I am moving from an XP machine to a Windows 7 machine, and am trying to set-up my iReport on the Windows 7 machine but encountering issues when I try to compile a report. I am using 3.0.0 only because that is the version I have been using and it makes life easier to compare the 2, but will migrate to a later version in due course. The issue I am having is that at compile time, I receive the following; java.io.FileNotFoundException : xxxxxxxxxxxx (access is denied) - I asusme this is related to permissions to write to the hard drive, and I believe from looking into this that Windows 7 has a didfferent approach to protection of folders, is this something you are already aware of and have any suggestions, as permissioning myself o the destination folder has no impact
  2. Can anyone suggest a means of displying negative values from my fields in a report (the field is a Double) in Red, leaving positives in Black. I had expected to see this as a pattern to select from as per Excel, but its not, and not being very technically adept I am at a loss as to how to achieve this. I had sourced some sample code from similar forum entries but the samples seem to only apply to Strings Would appreciate some advice, thanks
  3. Having now successfully produced the required cross tab, I note that the resulting pdf report appears to miss some gridlines in the top right of the grid. I canot see anywhere that you can alter the layout to display this, and it spoils an otherwise good report view - any suggestions would be appreciated Post edited by: Nick_Murphy, at: 2007/01/09 11:24
  4. I finally figured that out late last night, but didn't remove the query as I wondered if there was possibly other solutions. It works fine for me now, many thanks for such a prompt response

  6. I am new to JasperReports and using iReport, and have been investigating the use of Crosstabs. I obtain my data via JDBC calls, and am looking to produce a summary of the large number of rows summed by a couple of attributes. However, if I select my query to define the fields, and then create the cross tab, it seems I have to place the Crosstab in the Summary band, and the result is the creation of a repot containing hundreds of blank pages followed finally by the required cross tab view. Is this because the query is retrieving the data ahead of the crosstab and is expecting to first display the data in the Detail band? Is there a way of producing a 1 page Crosstab summary, or do I actually need to produce the required record counts in the query itself?
