  1. Sanda, Thanks for you help - and Happy New Year. Regards Terry
  2. Sanda, Thanks for your response, the only other question I have therefore is that if I set one page per sheet, will I not end up getting multiple sheets when the automatic page breaks occur, ie when the group extends over more than one page as some of the grouped results extend to over 500 lines per group and others only about 10 lines. If I use the IS_IGNORE_PAGINATION, then as I understand it, the report will ignore all page breaks. Regards and thanks again Terry
  3. Is there a way to export the data in excel so that it creates a new worksheet for each group. Else is there a way to export and create a worksheet for each subreport. Thanks
  4. Hi, Does anyone have an idea how the Oracle Connection Context could be set in a jasperserver JDBC datasource or a report datasource so that the user only sees the data they are entitled to based on the FGAC (Fine Grain Access Control/VPD) policies enforced within the data. The information for the context will also have to be recovered from the Oracle Database - eg specifying what type of user they are such as regional manager, dept manager etc. Thanks Terry
  5. Sherman, Thanks for your answer, sort of what I expected but not what I was hoping for. The problem with using the report query is that it may not return any values, so the user would not see the full selection criteria used. Hence this means putting in place a set of sub reports to fill in the selection criterial used for the report. As we want to use the same jrxml file both in our base web application and the jasperserver this would lead to the two of them going their own way. Is there any chance that we could convince your development team to add an additional parameter e.g. ParameterNameDesc for the selected values in both select and multiselect input controls. Thanks Terry
  6. Is there a way to pass the visible column(s) of a query or list from a input control back to the jrxml file so that they can be displayed in the report heading. I have no problem passing back the value column (which is for the most part an id) however, I need to be able to provide the description on the id'ed object for it to be meaningful to the user.
  7. Thanks Giulio, that has fixed it for me. Regards Terry
  8. Hi, I just installed iReport 3.5.2, replacing 3.0.0. When I go file - open, it takes an age (> 5 minutes) to open the file searcher box. Similarily, when I change the directory that I am looking for the file in, it also takes an age to come back with the contents of the next window. This was working fine in 3.0.0. This used to work fine prior to doing the upgrade. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this and wha I can do to get around it. Thanks Terry
