I have reconstructed the whole report and now ist working fine. I still don't know what was the problem, but it was nothing with the band heights (the band heights were set to zero, for all unneeded bands).

Hi, I have a report with one subreport in the detail band. This subreport also contains subreports in its detail band. All these reports uses JRRewindableDataSource implementations as data sources. The problem now is, that there is a large gap (page break) between the first and second element of the data source (not in all, only in some not traceable cases). You can see it in the attached image.
