Hi, I want a report from multiple data bases. I need to display information from two from different data bases in one report. My requirement as follows: I have one .jrxml file which is created using iReport designer. I am using this .jrxml file in my Java application. I have to capture the data from both databases into in memory objects, and need to combine the inforamtion. After this, I have to give information to JasperPrint object. Now my question is, how to store data from database in memory object in Java & how to pass this object to JasperPrint. Any help is appreciated.. Thanks in advance Rags

Hi, iReports/Jasper suport to pull from Multiple Data Sources: Is it possible in iReport to have 2 different datasources? I want to generate a report from two different data sources. Is there any way to retrieve data from two different data sources in one report. I have Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, I need to generate a report using the data from both these databases. Actually I tried with Subreport concept. I created one Master report and Detail Report. Master report is connected to PostgreSQL database and Detail Report is connected to Oracle database. But, when I join these two reports and trying to generate the report, Master report's datasource is working but Detail Report's data source is not working. Any help is appreciated.. Hi, I am also having problem when working with Chart Tool in iReport. I am working with IReport 1.2.5, I donot have any problem when generating simple reports. I am not able to generate reports using Chart Tool. I am using Oracle 10g, I have connected to Oracle 10g from IReport through "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" I have given one query, which retrives two fields ( one is Varchar2 and another one is Number of Oracle table) and I want to Plot these two fields throgh YX Bar of IReport. When I draw this YX Bar and execute the report, getting ClassCast Exception. IReport internally converting Number field of oracle into java.math.BigDecimal How to plot YX Bar or any other Chart Tool in IReport? Thanks in Advance! Rags
