hi, i want to create a bar chart, having x_axis with repersenting thisyear and lastyear for y_axis, total sales. In summary my chart needs to represent , the total sales for this year and last year, on daily(becoz i will creating rpts for weekly and daily). plz tell me how to give the values for xseries and yseries, rgds, lio.

hi, Thanku for reply, my problem is i downloaded iReport1.2.4with JasperIntelligence, i tried running an mdx query, which executed, but in report query dialog,where fields has to be listed automatically are not listed, on the right side of the dialog we had an option to add the fields, i did like that but during the report generation, am not able to view the data , how to reterive the data on the report, (i added the fields to detail band). hi, i will tell my requirement, for example in this forum , with topic as Create Table, with author groter, in that he has given a view like table, as "A|B", Similarly i need to create tables of count 3, in one page, but when we use subreport, it displays the data horizontally, how to separate it to vertically. Sorry if made confused, if u see that topic "Create table", there he has given the view of a table, similarly i need for 3 in one page. thanks, lio.

hi, Is it needed to connect to JasperServer, inorder to display data in the report. Am using ireport with jasperIntelligence, this version consists jasperserver as plugin in ireport. Becoz am not getting data when report is displayed and i tried to connect to JasperServer through JasperServerPlugin dialog, but it is giving "mep is not yet reset", i had given the url and other details according to the docs only changing the localhost , but not succeeded. If i get data when i tried to run my report it is enough, i had given an mdx query, and i added some fields, and i added the fields to detail band, but data is not displayed. Plz suggest me how to display data using this version, Ireport1.2.4 with JasperIntelligence. thanks, lio.

hi, i want to create a report consisting 3 different reports in one page as tables, like one report contains 3 columns namely Rank,Region,Sales and second rpt contains Rank,Region,Growth and third rpt contains Rank,Region,Margin. and my Column Rank changes depending on Sales,Growth and Margin. For that reason i want to make as three different reports(like tables) with 3 columns, and want to show it in one page. i know abt the subreport feature, which gives horizontal separation, which doesn't suite for my requirement(i am not sure). Suggest me how to design the rpt, with this type of reqirement. thanks, lio.

hi, thanks for the reply, i tried, with same url and userid as jasperadmin and password, but same problem exists, "mep is not yet complete". i tried an mdx query given in report query dialog, i added some fields,and then added to detail band, but during report generation no data is displayed(Previously i had expierence working with ireport, i know to create reports using this tool, in that when i give query in report qry dialog, automatically fields will be displayed, but ireport with jasperintelligence its not getting the fields automatically,),i have to add those fields, even i did that but data is not displayed. lio.

hi, i tried to connect jasperServer thru jasperserver plugin in ireport1.2.4 with help of docs presented, but connection is not establishing,giving error, mep is not yet complete, what is the url and other details, that i have to provide.and how to get data for the feilds , that i want to display, becoz am not getting the data. lio.

hi, I downloaded ireport 1.2.4 with jasperintelligence_1.0.1 plugin and jasperserver_1.0.1, but when try to run the application, it stops giving the error "Exception in thread main, java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:com/jaspersoft/jasperserver/irplugin/IRPlugin <Unsupported major.minor version 49.0>, i tried removing the plugin 'jasperserver_plugin' , but the same error araises, before, without this combination - jasperintelligence plugin i downloaded ireport1.2.4 or 1.2.5 itself it worked fine, but when tried this the problem raises, plz suggest what to do, thanku, rgds, lio.

hi, I downloaded ireport1.2.4 and am using jdk1.4,windows2000 and my problem is menus and tools in this version are not enabled when i opened a report, only compile , datasource , new,open menus are enabled, rest is not getting up, and i can compile and execute using rpt wizard, but not rptquery option becoz its disabled, main menus are enabled, but submenus r not. i downloaded previous versions its working fine, only this version i faced. thanku, rgds, lio.

hi, thanks for ur replies which r valuable. Am using ireport1.2.0, its fine working, but when i want to use zeros incase where the values are null and the datatype is numeric, instead of making it blank, and i don't want to give the condition in textfield expression like true or false when value equalto null..., then whats the alternate method and also where the ireport is handling all these conditions, i can't able to find it, not with the setter , getter methods, is it internally handled by jasper or how, can u plz help me in understanding the cycle. Ur reply will be very helpful for me, thanks , lio.
