How to sort fields using iReport ? i know there is a tag <sortfields/> which i manually add in jrxml files , but i'm wondering can i do it directly from iReport ?

There is many use case scenarios, one of them is sorting groups, for e.g. you can group data by any expression and also you wish to sort data also by this same expression. Since expressions can be more complex than just normal operations like add/multiply/divide or concat operations sometimes it is not possible to sort data using database fields.
