  1. Has a feature request been submitted for this? or has this been implemented already? I also have a similar case to the original poster. Until I'm sure, I don't want to submit duplicate posts or requests.
  2. bump If you require clarification, either in explanation or the jrxml files please let me know.

  4. I've been using JasperReport/iReport successfully for that last few months but have recently run in to problems with master-detail type reports Here is how the report should look: "Task Group Code" "Task Group Description" (MASTER) "Task Code" "Task Description" etc... (DETAIL) My problem is that "Task Group Description" can reach up to 1000 characters so obviously the text field element is going to exceed several lines. This causes it to overlap the contents of the sub report. I've tried pretty much every option associated with subreport and the "Task Group Description" to try and get the subreport to display after the end point of the description field but it either continues to overlap or the subreport displays in entirely the wrong location. The solution I have come up with is to pass the master fields to the sub report as parameters and display them in the subreport's title band. At best I see this solution as a hack and am wondering if there is a way to ensure that a subreport begins display after an expanded text field not overlapping it. Thanks
