hi, we are deploying the jasper server as WAR in the geronimo application server. After the deployment, we will pass certain values to the input controls like date and name parameters to generate the report. Is there any way to validate the value passed to the input paramters in the jasper server level? cheers, Krish

hi, OperationNotSupportedException is thrown when i deploy the jasper server as a WAR in the geronimo application server. Even though it throws this exception the functionality works fine. i have attached the exception stack trace for your reference. Kindly let me know how to avoid this. hi, we are deploying the jasper server as WAR in the geronimo application server.What happens is that when we restart the app server (geronimo) with the jasper server delpoyed in it, the jasper server tries to connect to the DB. When DB is down the jasper server throws a exception and shuts the app server(geronimo)down. Is there a way to avoid this. regards, Krish.

hi, we set the RAM size for the JVM as 512M. what i meant by configuring the Jasper report is that after deploying the JasperServer WAR in the geronimo, we will create the folder structure in the jasper server repository and add the necesarry reports to the repository along with the input controls, JRXML file and resource bundle to each and every report. Most of the times when i redeploy the WAR in the geronimo the configurations are retained, so that i can generate report. But some times when i redeploy the WAR the repository is completely empty. i have to create the folder structures and configure all the reports again. We need to rectify this problem before using this in production. Please let me know how i can resolve this. regards, Krish.

hi, We are generating the report in the jasper server and the report is generated in the name of flow.html or flow.pdf. But i want to know whether can we change the name of the report generated atrun time i.e according to the name of the report generated. if can, please let me know the steps of how we can do it. with regards, Krish

During the installation/configuration, we are facing the following issues in the jasper server. 1. The startup of jasperserver thorough the console and via the deployment directory takes about half an hour to startup. 2. While configuring the jasper reports- the report folder and the report xml file vanishes in a few minutes. Creating one report or two reports in the report folder has the same result. 3. The same result was seen when configuring the JRXML file in the initial installation. That became stable later. if any one face such kind of issues, please let me know. regards, Krish
