When I place jasperreports-1.2.1.jar in iReport 1.2.8 lib directory (removed the original jar) and tried to compile the report nothing happens no error, nothing Output of compile ------------------- Report name synchronized with file name iReport file C:Documents and Settingssyam.ireportrecentFiles.xml successfully updated! but when i place the original jar everything works fine. Does that mean that iReport1.2.x will work with only jasperreports-1.2.x.jar.

Actually when i place the jasperreports1.2.1.jar in iReport 1.2.8 lib dir and try to compile the report nothing happens. no error, nothing, no compile. As soon as i place the original jasperreports1.2.8.jar everything works fine. And also jasperreports1.2.1 is not present in the compatibility list. iReport 1.2.8 is not working with jasperreports-1.2.1.jar. Is it possible to work like that? Post edited by: syamat, at: 2006/11/22 18:04
