Hi there, maybe it is a silly question, but this problem takes my whole week dreams as a nightmare. Well, when i'm using a data form inputation by using a HTML Area (htmlarea.js), it takes a whole html tag into my database. My datafield are as a text. When i'm generating the report, it produced a very embarassing report. Its a pretty annoying. Can you imagine that the html tag also printed on the report? How painfull to be read... Can another help me to trick it? Perhaps by tricking the jrxml field as a HtmlField :laugh: ? Many thanks in advance.

Well, in my project i'm using a hibernate API, and when i wants to generati a multiple subReport, i'm only throwing the property.util as the container of the details one. Its absolutely tricky one. But in fact, when i generating it, it is completely slower than other techniques. :blink:

you can place a boolean statement on your field / static text 'print when expression' properties. in case of your data type are String, you could use this expression : Boolean.valueOf($F{*field name*}.equalsIgnoreCase(""))
