  1. hi Edwin, ¡¡¡cool!!!, thanks for the information; we are working with IReport and we need to improve our knowledges, so thanks and I hope I could help all of you within a few months, :) Óscar in Madrid.
  2. hello redwine, first of all excuse me for my presumption. I have read your answers about change color by means of <style/> tag. You mention forecolor attribute, but, which other attribute might be used with <style/> tag in ireport? I need to change an element´s width. Do you know a site or book or whatever the thing where I could read about this question? Thank you very much in advance and excuse me. Óscar.

Another question is, if we have a report component, for example, a text field which its length is, for example, 30 pixels, could it be possible the information to be written at it starting at the pixel or position we want, for example, pixel 22: 1 15 22 30 ------------------------------------------------ | m y T e x t | ------------------------------------------------ (The draw does not correnponds my words, do not notice it) Ok, that is all, thanks in advance. Óscar.

  5. Hello Raul, do not worry about your English. Scriptlet is just Java code you design; this code is asociated to a report. Why this code? By means of this scriptlet you can access all the fields, parameters and variables you had designed in your report, in order to perform complex operations. If you go to edit/ScriptletEditor in your ireport application you might improve your knowledges about this question.
  6. Good morning to all of you, I make this question because we have had a lot "not working properly" situations (not solve yet) between ireport 1.3.1 and Excel format; reports that work in a right way with pdf format, don´t do the same with excel format. Problems with images, problems with the appearance, in sum, communication between ireport and excel seems not to be as good as it is with other formats like html, pdf or just plain text. Is it our fault (I mean all the Colleagues that use this useful application) that it does not work properly?, what are we doing in a wrong way? or Is it the application that it is not fixed already? This application is helping all of us, so I want to contribute to improve it. Thanks to all you, and I hope someone may give me some fresh air. Óscar in Madrid. Thanks.
