Issue:
In Job Conductor page of Talend Administration Center, a new cron-based trigger was configured for tasks to run every 15 minutes as per below screen:
The trigger is associated to the task but instead of scheduling every 15 minutes, the task is scheduled at every hour as illustrated by the "Time left before next triggering" and "Next triggering on" columns.
Solution:
The issue was caused by a misunderstanding of the Cron UI configuration usage.
As per the provided example above, the configuration does not mean the task will be executed every 15 minutes but rather 15 minutes past every hour.
There is a "Open Cron Help" button that once clicked will display a dialog detailing more information on the usage of Cron UI settings. Refer to the list of cron settings based on sample use-cases as this can assist in the setting the right values. For configuring a cron-based trigger to run a task every 15 minutes, the correct value set in the "Minutes" textbox should be 0/15.
