TIBCO JasperReports® Server Administrator Resources

Below you will find some resources that will be useful for new TIBCO JasperReports^® Server admins. Ultimately admins should familiarize themselves with all areas of JasperReports^® Server usage, but the information here will serve as an initial focus.

Install and Configure:

1. Hardware Requirements: Covers the minimums required to run Jaspersoft.
2. 64 Bit Bundled Installer: Our bundled installer accounts for one of the two ways you can install Jaspersoft.
3. War File Distribution: Our WAR File Distribution allows for more control over your Jaspersoft installation configuration and supports the use of databases beyond PostgreSQL and application servers beyond Apache Tomcat.
4. Docker Installation: If you are looking to set up Jaspersoft within Docker containers we have a github that can help you.
5. Jaspersoft AWS Webpage: Our Quick Start guide along with our Launching AWS wiki page should help you and your team get Jaspersoft up and running in AWS.

Documentation:

In addition to the Admin, TIBCO JasperReports^® Server User Guide and Ultimate Guide detailed on our TIBCO Jaspersoft^® Customer Orientation page admins should review the following documentation.

1. Our Security Guide to ensure their Application, Users, and Domains are properly protected.  

2. The Supported Platforms Sheet will detail what has been test and'or certified to work with Jaspersoft.

3. Upgrades will take place at some point, review our Upgrade Guide prior to embarking on this endeavor.

4. When utilizing Ad-Hoc Reporting a firm understanding of working with Domains will go a long way to ensuring you are maximizing your use of Jaspersoft.
