Hi,

Say i have this

now i want this to be displayed as such

1 6

2 7

3 8

4 9

5 10

 

further explanation::

i have to make a Income Statement.

so all ledgers between 300-399 will come on the left and

all ledgers between 400-499 will come on the right. Now the ledgers also have subledgers(like 300 will have 1,23..). So i have grouped Ledgers and in details have put Subledger. then i have to make sub totals of the subledgers and grand total of the ledgers.

The main part here is to put them side by side ie. Left all 300-399 and Right all 400-499

what i did was have the same fields

$F{ledger} $F{ledger}

and gave each of them a printwhenexpression to check if is 300 or 400...but this fails as it displays blanks like this

300

301

401

402

what i want is

300 401

301 402

....

i am now trying to put the values first in a variable then print the variables....BTW no one on IRC :(

ok the format was lost...this is what i am doing

 

$F{value} has values 300,301,302.....400,401...500

$F{value}.....................$F{value}

[printwhen <400]..........[printwhen >400]

 

this is what i am getting(the ... are just to keep the format)

300......

301......

302......

303......

......400

......401

......402

 

i want to get rid of the empty spaces and get this

 

300 400

301 401

302 402

303 403

304 404

How about using subreport? I know this is stupid solution but i'm sure that it will 100% work. :)
