How can I use the XML file produced by Ireport with OpenReports?

Could you be more precise?

 

IReport can geenrate for you the xml code of the page ore the compiled version of the xml code.

 

If you can use one of this I are ready. You can see iReport as a kind of JasperEdit (is shipped in the OpenReports package?).

i wanted to use the .jasper file generated by the IReport in OpenReports?

Open reports gives and error namely "error in loading .jasper file"

The file is present in the corect directory

I am using Ireport 0.0.8

and Open reports 0.4.4

The compatibility is linked to the version of the jasperreports.jar.

 

IReport 0.0.8 ship with jasperreport-0.4.5.jar.

I don't know what version of jasperreport.jar is shipped with OpenReports, but must be the same, otherwise jasperreports throws a version exception.

There is not other compatibility issue.

Your comment seems to be perfectly right but to my utter surprise the .jasper file produced my ireport 0.0.7 worked perfectly with Open Report 0.4.4.

Anyway thanx for your cooperation, hoping to get the same in future
