ktrinad
By: Erik Romson - romson weird xls and (csv) files 2003-02-13 14:58 This may not be iReport related but if so just blame it on JasperReport and I post it there. I have been trying out to generate to xls and csv (and show in excel). The xls just looks plain weird with a bunch rows and columns that have minimal width or height and the csv file have show the column headers and the detail in different columns. When I really work on it I may get the csv file to look good but as soon as I touch anything it is a lot of work to get it right again. What do I do to make the csv and xls generatio to unserstand what columns headers belong to what details Regards Erik By: Giulio Toffoli - gt78 RE: weird xls and (csv) files 2003-02-14 04:18 The generation of excel is based on a virtual grid mapped to the real grid of excel. Every space between two objects is mapped on a excel column. You must align all objects verticalli as they are cells of your grid. Any space will be "mapped" in a row/column. I hope this helps you Giulio
