Perhaps a stupid question.....

2003-01-28 19:54

How to run this software? I executed iReport.exe but nothing happens. Do I need to install it or something? Or do I need to install Visual J++ to run it?

What Os? Version ?

If you have a WinXP, you must download Microsoft JVM, you can find a direct link to the exe on microsoft site on this forum.

If you have Win2000 nothing to do

If you have WinNT, you must update MS JVM (the same exe for XP is ok)

To compile and view reports, you need jdk 1.2 or greater installed.

I hope this helps you

I am using WinNT4.0, service pack 6.

The iReport version I downloaded is 0.0.7, with 0.0.7p2 patched

Microsoft don't support java already from a lot of time and say a lot of things......

You must download this file, and install it.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/javasdk/Install/3805/WIN98MeXP/EN-US/msjavx86.exe

Good look

I tried this link, but seems it's been removed....

Anyway, I got my JVM updated from windowsupdate.com. And I can run iReport now. Thx for your help~
