Critical Problem with external Font

Hi All,

 

I have found very critical problem, As we know that pdf is not having Arial font. So I put this as external

font. Once the i run the report its taking hours together to show the report for 1000 pages or some time hangs.

 

If I put the defualt(Helwetica) font for 1000 pages report, its taking hardly 2-2.5 mins.

 

Any body can suggest me, if I use extarnal font then how can I improve the performance.

From the pdf point of view it takes exactly the same time to create a pdf with any font.

The only difference is the time it takes to read the font (done only once) and the time it takes to write the font subset to file (also done only once).

But if recoreds are more, external font is taking very long time, say about 15000 records its taking in hours or hanging, but the default font taking hardly 2 mins. I am realy worring, how to over come this.

Paulo, can you pls suggest me.
