Summarize Multiple Subreports

Hello,

 

I have a 'billing' report which has 3 subreports. Each subreport has the same variables and fields; however, each report has different criteria.

 

Is there a way to have a grand total at the end which summarizes these fields?

the trick is to make the subreports return values as explained here:
