Webstart cache of jars

2006-08-25 15:30

I am using Java 1.5, and the Webstart-deployed application keeps a cache of jars in a sub-directory of the users' Documents and Settings directory.

I want to ship 1.2.5 of JasperReports now, rather than 1.2.2, but the Webstart cache still contains the older jar (jasperreports-1.2.2.jar), and I am concerned this will cause application problems.

How can I force Webstart to discard the older jar from its cache? I have 450 users, so visting each PC is not an option.
