Hello,

 

I am responsible for standard letters made by Jasper Reports. Thereby I have problems with the proportional font:

In the letters we usually have the parameters "address", "title", "first name" and "last name". Depending on the character pitch of the four parameters Jasper Reports creates an automatical line break or not. The result is that instead of only one there are two vertical spacings.

We are working with IReport 0.4.0, Jasper Report Version 0.6.1 and Java Version 1.4.2.

 

The precise question is whether it is possible in a new JasperReport version and/or a new Java version to determine the number of pixels of the whole line, alternatively the number of pixels of the four above-named parameters.
