Extra new line in textfield

Extra new line in textfield

I'm using a textfield wtih isStretchWithOverflow="true". My problem is that when the contents of the textfield almost fill the textfield, the textfield stretches and adds an extra line. The contents of the textfield don't extend into the new line, they just come close to the end of the first line, but for some reason the report acts as though they extend beyond the end of the line. Does anyone what causes this and how to fix it?
