To generate the jasper-SQL on the fly?!?

Is it possible from inside the report - or perhaps more likely from inside a scriptlet attached to it - to generate the SQL query the report is based on?

We need to modify the query from outside through a java frontend - can it be done and if so how?

Yo can pass a resultset to a report, so make your sql work within your java class.
